Davis E. Velarde Scholarship (DEVS) was setup though the SBCC Foundation, a tax-exempt 501-(c)(3) nonprofit organization, Federal Tax ID: 95-3234551. The DEVS Fund will benefit deserving SBCC Music students.

For many, assistance from the SBCC Foundation is crucial. Every year, thousands benefit from the SBCC Promise, scholarships, internships, emergency grants, and more – all made possible by our community of generous donors.
The SBCC Foundation has provided Santa Barbara City College with private philanthropic support since 1976, serving as the vehicle through which individuals and organizations may invest in the college and its students. The SBCC Foundation provides more than $5 million annually for student success programs, scholarships, book grants, and other critical needs of the college in order to support SBCC students as they prepare for careers, transfer to four-year universities, and pursue lifelong learning goals.
